Fairy Cakes

Essential for every fairy tea party and fun to decorate!

Airy Fairy's Favourite Fairy Cake Recipe
(as given away on the first day the shop opened. They looked so good people thought they were decorations!)

Ingredients:
This recipe is really easy!
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4
  2. Using an electric whisk, mix together ingredients until light and fluffy.
  3. Bake the cakes for 10-15 minutes, until golden on top. Allow to cool for ten minutes on a wire rack before removing from the tin.
  4. Once the cakes are cool, ice them liberally.
Decorating your fairy cakes

Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients: Method

  1. Beat together butter and sugar with an electric mixer
  2. Once well combined add water, vanilla essence and food colouring. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pipe or spread onto your fairy cakes.
You can also add decorations like sprinkles, silver balls or sweets. See how many different designs you can come up with.
